This License governs your use of the Uncle Mini Workspace software (the "Software"). It is part of the Terms of Use. In case of conflict between this License and the Terms of Use, the Terms of Use prevail.
When you purchase Uncle Mini Workspace, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software under the conditions described below.
Your license is intended for use by you and members of your team. We monitor license activations to identify unusual or excessive use that suggests license sharing beyond a single team. Examples of activity that may be considered unusual include:
If we detect unusual activity, we may, at our discretion: refuse further activations on the affected license, disable the license for any future activation, or take other reasonable steps to protect against abuse.
In keeping with the local-first architecture of the Software, we do not re-verify licenses after a workspace has been activated. Workspaces that are already activated at the time we take action will continue to function. However, no further activations on a deactivated license will succeed.
If you believe action has been taken on your license in error - for example, because your team has a legitimate need for activations beyond the standard threshold - contact support@unclemini.com and we will review the request.
Your license includes free updates to the version of the Software you purchased - bug fixes, security patches, and feature improvements - at no additional cost.
If we release a substantial new major version of the Software in the future, we may offer it as a separate upgrade purchase. We do not commit to any timeline for major version releases, and we are under no obligation to release them. Existing customers will be notified and offered a meaningful upgrade discount if and when a major new version becomes available. Your existing license continues to work on the version you bought regardless of whether you choose to upgrade.
The Software remains the intellectual property of its creator. This License grants you the right to use the Software, not ownership of it. All rights not expressly granted to you in this License are reserved.
This License does not affect your ownership of the data you create using the Software. Your data is yours. It stays in the folder you choose and is not accessible to Uncle Mini.
Uncle Mini Workspace is available for a 14-day free trial with full functionality. Trial use is subject to these same restrictions on redistribution, reverse-engineering, and rebranding.
This License terminates automatically if you materially breach its terms. On termination, you must stop using the Software and destroy any copies in your possession, with the exception of any backups stored by third-party cloud services outside your control.
Sections 2 (the "may not" restrictions), 3 (Unusual Activity), 5 (Ownership), 9 (No Warranty), and 10 (Limitation of Liability) survive termination.
The Software is licensed "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with any specific hardware, browser, or other software.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with this License or your use of the Software, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity. Our total cumulative liability under this License shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. This License is governed by applicable European Union law, with mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence applying where required by law. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by this License.
